Spiritual Transformation-Basis of Outward Transformation to Connect with Divine Plan and Purpose

Romans 8:28-30 And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the likeness of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers. And those he predestined, he also called; those he called, he also justified; those he justified, he also glorified.

Not all are called by God to be His children.  Only a few unfortunately through some suffering in life ultimately come to a point where they feel totally hedged in from all directions not knowing where to go and what to do.  Often people meet Jesus miraculously when they want to commit suicide.  I have met one pastor with a large ministry who was saved when a pamphlet containing the Good News flew across him in the breeze in a park and he gave himself to Jesus turning away completely from Islamic  teachings overnight.  There is always a purpose why He calls us and what He wants to do with us after that and how He wants us to co-operate with Him; as these things are not always clear instantaneously.  But certainly God being Spirit wants us to meet Him at a spiritual level and not on the level of our fleshly thinking which comes from the teachings of the world with its fair share of successes and failures.  Hence it is not about our successes and failures from the worldly sense but a matter of drawing ourselves closer and closer to Him day by day and morning by morning as we worship Him in Divine truth.

Our very birth to our ultimate death has been preplanned by God.  No satan’s interference can snatch the number of days counted out for each one of us by God.  Hence as a Born Again it is best to fall into His plans and purpose – the most fundamental being becoming like his son each day.  It is a process and it cannot be achieved in one day.  It is for one of these reasons that He sent His Son to dwell on Earth among ordinary human beings as the first born from whom others could also gain sonship.  So Jesus is our prototype for ALL believers across the world.  The only way we can know Jesus is to exchange our old selves to the Lord’s self and also renewing our minds from time to time when the worldly dross is bound to catch up on us.

So we the Born Again children of God were predestined to belong to this sonship.  But this is not a cheap purchase for we received this sonship not out of anything good we have in us but only through His grace and mercy.  Even when saved we must realise our hopeless condition and be ever thirsty for the Word of God – Rhema- to work in us and through us through our active participation.  We need the blessing of the Spirit to work quickly through us to transform us so we can be shining examples in our daily living.  Such a living will be a testimony to a world which is dead to sins in all forms and satan has found numerous means of deceiving the human mind at every level.

Many of us will be glorified even in this world while serving Him and all will be glorified in our eternal abode in Heaven.  However, it is not for us to glorify ourselves but to allow the Lord to glorify us.  We have to remember this God who is the Creator of everything was born in an ordinary stable, worked as a carpenter, lived humbly and yet could have been the richest and most powerful man on Earth. Because he humbled himself his Father gave him the highest position so that in his name every knee shall bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is the Lord and Savior (Phillipians2:10)
